Case Status meaning ???

I get this new when I try to check the status.

Anyone knows why ? is the system down ?

The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

The status as such is meaningless. It will say the same thing. What is meaningful is, if you create an onilne ID and associate your case with that ID, then you get to see your "
Update" date. That is the one, when it gets changed, gives you an indication of the movement of your case. For example, they change when FP notice is sent out, and also when interview notice is sent out. Again, it doesnt happen to all cases.
 
Well even at that the online system is not really reliable....

My status has said "case status cannot be found blah ba;h" for over a year, and the last updated date is 3/19/06....well since then I have had an interview letter, an interview and gotten my oath letter for this Friday......


so in short IGNORE THE ONLINE status...it is highly meaningless and unreliable :)


If you want real information call the 1800 number and ask to get your case escalated to a officer with computer access (might not always work sometimes you have to talk to a couple before they do it....)

or schedule and infopass appointment!

How do I speak to someone, I call this #, but its all automated, no option to speak to someone ?

congrats...ur interview letter is on its way,....thts what it means...

so dont panic..once ur fp is done and u get this message it means ur case has been transfered to the local d.o and u will be getting a interview letter soon..

I created a ID online as well and linked my case, last updated date is
07/22/2006

So I am assuming that Interview letter was sentt on 22nd July ?
