Case reopened after approval/stamping!

Friends,
we just received 13 emails stating that my wife's 485 case was re-opened on Jul 21 on a BCIS motion and will mail decision as soon as it is made.

She got her 485 approval on Jul 8th and stamping done y'day. So what is this new twist now? Her online status never showed Approved even when she got her approval. Thought that was ok but did not expect this.

Is there any danger. We are planning to go to Canada for vacation and wonder if it would be any problem coming back.

She even had to turn in her EAD at stamping.

Would appreciate if anybody has any experience or info on this.

I would call TSC to clarify why are they re-opening case if it has been approved already on July 8.
Did you work through an attorney whom you can ask what's going on?

It's better to act and try to find out what's going on than just sit and wait.
At least that's my humble opinion.

Guess what, it got updated again saying "case approved on Jul 21 and notice sent out"...

Whats going on!!!!!!
Sh got her stamping based on Jul 8th approval. Is this going to cause any problem.

My lawyer asked me to shred the new approval as she already got her stamping done with the old one.

You got the decision quickly so that you can enjoy your Canada trip.

But your wife is so lucky that having two approvals :rolleyes: even people are waiting for one.... :D

I can understand your pain when you got first re-opened email. Same situation I am also facing, my LUD changed on 7/12 (but it already approved 4/05) but there is no change in the message. Still i am in tense for my LUD change.

Kris, I'm glad to see you got 2nd approval. I know it seems odd but at least now you are 100% sure everything's fine.

coming back to US

Thank you for your replies. I just hope we won't have any issue coming back to US from Canada (driving) with the passport stamping done with the initial approval letter.

I would appreciate if somebody can share their experience crossing CA border with green card stamped on passport.
