Case outside processing time: Cust. Rep @800#

I know my interview was only 3 weeks ago ....but at any rate, I just called the 800# to inquire (not expecting much) about my case status and whether I was scheduled for oath. The cust. rep. was not able to give me much info., but he did do this: He said that since my case is outside the processing time, he'll send a "letter/request for action" to the local DO to have them look into my case and provide me with a staus and that I should be hearing back from them in 30-45 days! So, I asked him does "outside the processing time" mean after interview or simply the time since the PD, and he said it's the PD/DOR.

Has anyone experienced this or know of a situation like this?
