Case number from NVC required for CP??

Hello. I\'m about to send my packet 3 for Consular processing to the Mumbai consulate. I haven\'t yet received my case number from the National Visa Center, though, and it might take another couple of months. Wondering if I can send packet 3 without the case number from NVC. Please help!

no, you can\'t. when nvc sent the packet 3 to you, it also sent your information to consulate. if you send your own packet 3 before nvc did, the consulate wouldn\'t understand it.

don\'t even risk it, you\'ll end up messing the whole process and lengthen the waiting time. everything should be cool from this point on since ins is out of the picture and nvc does a good job on cp procedure. just calm down and wait for the packet 3 from nvc. don\'t freak out (it\'s not like your h1-b is expiring in two months, right).
