case missing at NVC

After my I-140 was approved in Oct 2005, the approval letter said that the case is being sent to the NVC. But now, after the PD became current, my lawyer checked with them and the NVC sez that they did not have any records regarding the case. We were asked to contact customer service at Nebraska regarding this and were told that a response would be given within 45 days. Has anyone heard of anything similar before? If so, what could be the reasons for the case 'missing'? Is it due to PD not being current before? i thought the case generally goes to NVC anyway.

for cherrygums

hi cherrygums, thanks for your email! my reply to you bounced back.. bue year this is weird that this 'missing case' is happening. When was your I-140 approved? Did your lawyer ever try to find out more on this or have you been doing all the research yourself? also, which email address did you send your case status request?

cherry - i think i am a little confused. My I-140 was approved in Oct 2005, but yours was in May 2007, which is quite recent. So your case wasn't that hard to figure out but mine is missing after a gap of more than 1.5 years!

but I shall still send them email

here is NVC email address NVCINQUIRY@state.gov
and this a link

For my I-140, i fot my approved on 5/3/07 and it was sent to NVC on 5/8/07.
And i reserach everything by myself.

Please try to send email to them to requested your case status and when did u get ur I-140 approed
