Guys, I don't know what to do....my case got transferred to Hartford, CT

I was really hoping for an approval when this happened.....I don't know how many more months......just my luck....very bad luck...

It seems that the only way you can do is to wait for an interview. Do not despair, when it's all over, in retrospect a few more months will seem like nothing.

Can you give us please some details about your case ... just to have an idea why the case was transferred? meaning .. labor substitution, 245 case, changing employer, address ....
Thx

Pibo,
Don't worry man, something good is going to come out very soon.
Trust me my wishes are very powerfull, u will get it done sooner then u can even imagine.

Nemesis has a very valid question, would be real nice if you can educate us about ur case.

thx

hakoona, it is transferred to Hartford, CT where there is no hope....people are waiting since oct 03 to have an interview. There is no hope at all..... after all what if we do not get an interview in 2 years or if we get the interview they deny the case....did not go home for last 3 years.....just frustrating.....yesterday could have been that special day when they looked at our case and approved it....BUT NO....they transferred....don't know why they transfer a case?

Guys, no change of employer, no labor substitution, no 245....only thing that I changed the address? Is that the reason? Can you guys shed some light on why a case gets transfer?

Just my observation on recent trends for past 4 mos, if you donot receive RFE at all in your 485 process, there is a good possibility of case getting transferred to local office. In recent days there are "very" few instances which got cleared w/t RFE directly from service centers.

2 RFEs in till now in 485.
Hopefully no Xfer

Was it a out of or in state move ???

 Oh my God ... really sorry to hear that ... looks like I am in the same situation then ... just changed the address ... if my case gets transferred to Philadelphia I am screwd  so it looks like I have to make plans for abandoning the process in this case ... my career was on hold for the last 3 years and I cannot afford 2 more years of waiting ... hmmm I'm becoming more pessimistic now

primary out state....dependent in state.....do you think that is the reason?

High possibility, i won't even rule out "out-of-county" moves inside state. It happened with my friend in Mass.
This shit pattern is commonly observed only in VSC, not in other service centers.

Is Hartford the place where your initial address was or the current address?

so what are we supposed to do? change address but never inform them?

Sort off, file AR-11 address to new one for legal purposes (its good their database is not in sync, don't call NSC and update ur address for the pending cases), if possible ask any friend to take on your existing address and receive bank stsmts,SSN stsmnts, pay stubs and DL's records at your old address. As far as possible maintain the exisitng state license and registration (it sounds odd but if u wanna save time in 485 process).
I did the same and hopefully won't receive any case Xfer.
In my case right now i am in CT, but succesfully placed a frnd of mine in NJ to maintain the exisitng address and receive mails from past 16 mos.!!!
Its always not feasible, but i did file my ar-11.
Filing AR-11 usually doesn't cause case Xfer, unless you call NSC at 1-800 or fax the service center.

Sorry, it was not Mass it was NJ. NJ interestingly has two local offices one in North and South NJ.
His move was between 2 counties and unfortunately it was in other local office jurisdcition and he got stuck. But luckily Cherry hill local office arranged interview for him within 4 mos, which is quite fast and approved the same day.
Also he filed AC-21, that may be a potential cause.
Also the pattern i mentioned is somewhat common in recent mos only with VSC.

I guess my 2RFEs won't likely cause any local office transfer. Also the pain in maintaining 2 address span accross 2 states. If i am slammed with a xfer, consider me the unlucky among all.
