My father submitted I-130 for me and my brothers on 1990. He is a U.S. Citizen. However, my brothers completed their petitions in the 90’s, and we decided to wait longer for mine. At this time we would like to complete the processing of my case.
The Embassy of the United States at Sanaa, scheduled an interview date for me and my brother Nasser on November 15 1997. My brother did go for the interview and his visa approved at that date. It was my father’s wish for me to wait until I get older.
On January 24 2006 I send a fax to the consular section in Sanaa asking them to look up my case. Along with that a copy of a notice my father received, which contain the INS Receipt #s as well as a copy of the interview’s letter we received from the consular section at Sanaa.
Their replay is as follow:-
Dear Sir,
This case has been purged from our system due to lack of contact. If you are still interested in pursuing immigrant status, the petitioner must refile for you.
Consular Section
I was single back then, but at the present time I am married with children. If my father reapplies I’ll fall under limited category (F3, Married son or daughter of a US citizen). The processing of this type of cases takes very long (not less then six years).
I want a faster way if possible, but I do not know how. I am wandering if it is possible to find out where my file could be located somewhere and we can file out some forms to complete its processing or to reapply now ant to have an old priority date based on the petition that was filled on the 90. Please advice me for a fast way if there is a fast way for me and my family.
