Case Assigned to officer?

Hi,
I had to redo the Finger Print as they had expired. Does the FP notice get generated automatically or can I assume that my case is assigned to an officer?
Does anybody have any experience with the FP redo?

Is FP considered the day one gets it done or the day when it reaches BCIS .

FYI- read the thread approved 11/13/02

The guy in the that thread called the BCIS and was told if the FP was "reasonably close to the approve date, you don't need a 2nd FP". My guess is based on different officer using their "own and unique judgements", it could be lucky not to get the 2nd FP even after 15 months, or you get unlucky for a 2nd when you are close to 15 months. I saw different cased in this forum about the 2nd FP. Well, good luck!
