Case approved then action cancelled

Hi
Yesterday went to infopass IO told your case was approved on 6 sept then action was cancelled on 14 sep she does not have any other info .So in nutshell my case got approved and then approval was cancelled .After one month also online status is still card production.Dont know what to do called TSC many times no info from them. Any suggestion
 
Contact local Congressperson/Senator

Try contacting your local congress representative. They might be able to get some more info on the case.

what is your case detail such as PD? did you call them for the reason of cancellation?

hi vimsom

i am literally in the same position as you are. Got the email oct 3rd and didnt recieve any cards. Called them today and they are saying the action has been cancelled. can u please tell your experience with this...what to do next?:confused:

Did you get an approval notice in the mail? What other approval related documents do you have, other than the automated email you get from the online case tracking system?
Also, check the EAC# on the action cancelled message. Did you have any other AP or EAD pending when you got your approval message. Maybe it is for those cases.

Hi Guys
I got card production email on 6 sep on 14 sep my LUD was changed thats it still my online case status is card production ordered.I dont have any physical document.I dont know anything else Infopass officer,TSC IO they just told me action cancelled no reason was specified.I have contacted my senator lets see if i get more info.Right now i dont know what to do just waiting.

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On October 3, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.



i didnt recieve neither the welcome notice nor the cards for almost 2 weeks.
i called them today and they said that it is an error and the case is still pending. also they are asking me to wait for 30 days to look in to the case again. i have no clue as of now what they are doing....

i dont think infopass or TSC IO is going to help us in this issue, please let me know if u have any update as to how to contact them regarding this issue.
i will post if i have any info... thanx

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. As far as I know, a "welcome notice sent" message will normally follow the "card production ordered". My friends told me that there would be no "approval notice sent" message for TSC approvals (or welcome notice is the approval notice).

I saw some people receive the card after "card production" + "welcome notice", and some people receive the card after "welcome notice" only. Not sure if anyone received the card after "card production" only.

I assume that USCIS may have requested visa number from last year (fy 2007) quota but didn't get to your case in time (within September 30th) and approved in fy 2008 fiscal. So probably they are not supposed to do that, may be thats why they cancelled it. Probably they will request new visa number. I know there are some people who got approved in October whose numbers are not current.

vimson, your situation is beyond imagination, I can't even think of any reason why they may have done this.

Just an idea. just giving 50% chance.

I may think it the following way.

On their computer system the officer may only need to click a checkbox to indicate this case is approved and send an email automatically. Is it possible the officer approved someone else's case and mistakenly put in your case # and 'click the checkbox'?? The reason might be your # is very close to the other one's etc... There are such errors but just very rare...

Looks like only two guys had this scenario....it might be safe to assume that .....it's probably just error on the part of TSC phone reps......I would think, that these 485's should get approved....

But, if lot of folks start reporting such stuff.....USCIS/applicants may be heading into some troubled water......

When i went to infopass IO said they just see action cancelled no reason for it so i was surprised.And as far as maybe similar receipt no scenario i am thinking me and my wife both got card production email so that may be not possible.Me and my lawyer contacted TSC more than 10 times if its wrong approval why they r not changing online status.Lets see if i can get any info from senator.One more thing after card production i had LUD on 14 without msg change Infopass IO told action was cancelled on 14.Any suggestion or direct Ph. no. to TSC will be help.

You could try the POJ trick to rech the TSC reps directly.....instead of the dumb National Customer Service Reps...

(for TSC customers Only: Call directly using POJ technique:
Dial National customer service number:
1-800-375-5283---select 1—select 2—select 2—select 6—select 1—enter your SRC number—select 1---select 3—and select 4 to speak to a TSC representative. If your I-485 SRC doesn’t work, punch in your I-140 SRC after going back to the main menu. When the representative asks for SRC number, give your 485 SRC)

485 approved June 16. physical letter received. online status was approved.
4 months since approval.

TODAY:
Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it.

Did you go for BioMetrics or FP? This seems to be a standard message for all whose biometrics or FP data is updated.
Hopefulle, now you should get your cards.
