Case Approved but another request for fingerprinting

My wife and I went fo our interview on May 18th 2006 and everything went smoothly. Our officer said that everything looks great but I had to go get fingerprinted. He gave me a letter and I rushed to the center and got it done the same day.Our approval was pending fingerprinting,biometrics and
that he will be checking in 3 days for the results. On Jun 12th I received an email confirming that the case has been approved but on Jun 14th I also received a letter from the officer requesting me to go over to get fingerprinted. I am totally confused now as one says case approved and the other for fingerprinting.
Please advice.
 
I assume that your email is based on the USCIS online status. You might want to set up an infopass appointment and find out what the current status on your case is and if you need to get fingerprinted again.
