It's a pity that this is such a frequent question yet we don't have a list of good/crooked contracting companies.
If we start compiling such a list it wouldn't be too much effort, the list would be ready in a few days and would be a VERY good reference for a whole lot of people.
Anybody got any ideas of how to go about this?

i have started a Google group.....we can create a database after discussing about companies...

normally people should have atleast spoken openly about them if they are big.
Not every small company is bad, but there will come situations when the client starts delaying payment for whatever reason and you will start getting paid late. However some companies pay you on time even if the client pays late, and of course there will be others who will not bother to pay you at all.
It is better if you do not have lot of layers on top of them and the billing rate is comparable in the market.
If you are desparate you can join them and check them out. If you know any employees from this company it will be good to get some idea.
