Hello There
I got my LPR card yesterday. Mine was a Family Based . I did not get
any passport stamping because my security check had not come through at
the time of interview.
Now comes the question:
Since I did not get PP stamped , my I-94, my 2 EAD cards and my 2 APs
were not taken and they are still with me.
What ,if anything,am I supposed to do with them ?
Any help

As far as I know you don't need to anything. Just keep them if you like.

Also, could you please let us know when was your interview?

I would like to know how long did it take to get the name check cleared.

have you done anything to get the name check cleared?

Thank you.

I agree same thing happened to my brother, its up to you you could keep it but there is no use for it since u got ur gc or u could cut em up like expired credit card what was your timeline from the begining plz share if you dont mind (all the dates like ead approval,fp, interiew date, etc)thanks.

- applied in New York in Aug 2002

- Received my EAD and AP immediately (in a month)

- was fingerprinted in may 2004 [fingerprinting notice came from Missouri Center [MSC])

- received interview letter in Nov 2004 after calling congresswoman for Feb 7th 2005

- interviewed but no stamping due to pending name check

- waited 2 months.

- then my wife called congresswoman and wrote some very strong emails and letters.

-finally name check was cleared in mid april 2005 [fbi had put my file at the end for some reasons]
follow this very good link to find more on name check:

- Again wife contacted Congresswoman and finally received my welcome letter on may 24th and Green card on
May 27th for 10 years.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Its a long wait but it will come through.

I would say visit to your Local Do and get your passport stamp.

Congratulation!

May I know, after the interview, did they change online status?

I had interview and waiting for name check, I was wondering if they put any note for the interview.

Sorry:
I am confused.
Why would I need PP stamp. And I can not get the stamp without a letter. How will I be able to get stamp after I have received my Green Card.

I am not sure how you can get your PP stamped. Probably by visiting your DO with your GC.
I only concern about what if you loose your GC? It is a good idea if your passprt also reflect your immigration status.

You don’t need to get your passport stamped after you already got your GC.
Stamping is only temporary evidence of status for people granted LPR, but who doesn’t have the actual GC yet.
If you loose your GC, then you’ll have to file I-90 application with your local DO to replace it. The stamp won’t help you since it is expires after one year and is not renewable, but your GC is valid for 10 years.
If you feel it is absolutely necessary for you to get the stamp you can make an infopass appointment with your local DO. Bring your passport, GC and the welcome letter.
