Got my card today and I am kind of disappointed. The color is quite ugly. I bet the designer of the card did not take any art class in his college.

Great, would you mind return your card and release the visa number to another poor guy who is next in line who does not care about the color:)

All your replies for this guy so are funny that there was no need for me say anything more.

Take a day off and pay a visit to Home Depot.
You could get creative and paint it any color you like. :)

My apology! I did not know that my little sense of humor could irritate many people here. Goodby and good luck to everybody.

beautiful_mind,

Dont be offended. The responses are meant to be humourous too !
Stay around to give advice and encouragement to others. It is a long and tough journey. We need to provide any support we can to the folks out there. I got my GC, but I keep coming here to encourage folks and answer questions if I can.

MDGUTS1307, Good Sprit !!! I like this and hope many will like too..

We need to share and encourage -- I am still expecting mine.. it is really tough to digest this once you come here to this land.

Green_Always,

Thanks for the kind words.
I see that you have been in the process for some time. Have you thought of filing WOM ( either thru a lawyer or per se) to get your NC cleared ? I think they are moving faster now with the NC compared to earlier. If your PD is current then I would strongly recommend going this route.

Good Luck !

As per call to TSC IO's couple of times my NC is cleared and also got reply from FBI for my FOIPA request saying they have sent results to USCIS.

So I am out of NC now, but still hooked by TSC IO's hope to get free'd soon.

I am not sure how these PD's work as I have seen people getting approved if there PD's not current also so I am hopeing the same to my case also.

I think you are close.... If your name check is cleared.... are you in EB2 or EB3.... if you are EB2, then you should be getting your green card soon, because of retrogression for EB2 india...to back to Jan 2002, USCIS will now be focussing on cases that were filed in 2001.... I don't think there are many people with 2000 or even early 2001 dates still left... Most of the people in the queue are the ones that filed after April/May 2001 and especially after September 2001.... So good luck...and keep your hopes up...

Green_Always,

If you are EB-2 then you will get approved anytime soon. I do not not know the current cut off dates of EB-3. If you are current then I would get my lawyers to send a letter or fax reminding them that you PD is current. Your congressman or senators office could also send a letter: this can help if you PD is current. Keep up your calls to the TSC IO can remind that you are current.

Good Luck !

I wish I could give some advices to help the folks here. However I do not any much to say. My case was stuck at NC for over 4 years. I tried everything except VOM. Nothing really worked. I guess the only remedy for the frustration is patience. Keeping yourself in good health is much more important than getting a card.

I agree

I was stuck in Namecheck for 2 yrs..I know some people are stuck more than 2 yrs..I was patiently waiting and suddenly my GC got approved in last week of Nov and i received the physical card this week.. So everyone keep ur hopes up..Definitely , there is a light at the end of tunnel..

BTW the card is not really good looking (not because it has my pic on it :)

I agree with what beautiful_mind has said regarding NC. Apart from WOM, sometimes only patience works. Also WOM has not worked in all cases ( depending on where you live). I think the NC is going to get better though as it is seen as a major issue now.

Beautiful_mind, you can definitely help. Lots of folks have questions or worries. we can certainly give some advice and encouragement, even if we do not have answers to all the questions.

FL may work

I think writing to First Lady may work. (I have tried. But not sure whether it worked or I just got as normal)

Anyway I Got the Physical card today.

Hope everyone gets their GC soon.

Not sure about it. I did it at the end of last year and the letter was referred to FBI at the beginning of this year. It seems that FBI generated a standard answer probably because they received too many letters from Frist Lady.

I received my card on Dec 8, 2007. I was very impressed by the design of the card. They have our information printed in so many different ways. If you look at the back of the card, the permanent resident is actually written in green color.
Also, if you look at the magnetic strip behind the card, they have your picture, signature and your entire information, in addition to all the information printed twice in front of the card. This card has so many security features, that I am amazed at the technology that went into developing this misleadingly simple looking card......
