I received a notice from the USCIS with "current status: Card production ordered" for my I-485. I checked with my lawyer and she tells me that this does not necessarily mean that the I-485 is approved but only that they're processing it. Has anybody heard of a case where cards were ordered but then the I-485 was denied?
Another related question. My wife filed her I-485 as a dependant of me. So far we have received no update on her I-485. Is it safe to assume that the USCIS will process a depandent's I-485 soon after?
