My 485 was approved on 6/20 and they had mailed the card on 6/25. But till date I have not received it. I called TSC and spoke to IO who told me that they had an old address on the file. I was surprised as I have received my FP notice at the new address and presumed that they have the latest address on the file.

Anyways, after some persuasion she took my new address and updated it. Got LUDs the night and morning after the address change by the IO. She said that once the mail returns, it will be re-sent to the new address.

Question: Does the online status change if the mail returns back to them??

Hi godawgs
How did you reach the TSC IO, I have changed my address recently and I want to verify the address in their file? Can you please post the number here? Thanks.

Follow the POJ method:

Call 1-800-375-5283.
Then choose 1-2-2-6-1
Enter your receipt no
Then -1
Listen to blah blah blah
Then press 3
Then press 4.
You will hear: “Welcome to TSC” --This is the confirmation that you are now connected to TSC.

Hi Godaw..

The message does change when the docs are returned to them. Then after a day or two it changes again saying, they have sent it to the new address on file ...so dont worry. and the cards will DEFTNITELY be sent back by the post office . .and the whole process takes around 15-20 days

Hey Sara,

Let us know if you called and they confirm your address change. They did'nt do that when we changed the address. We were just told that it was confidential and no information will be revealed . If at all something is mailed to the applicant, it will be re-mailed to the new address once it is returned. If this does not happen in 30 days, please call back and we will see !!

Sara,
I used the options that Flying123 suggested. Generally they are reluctant to change it over the phone as they prefer you change it online or over phone with Customer Service. But I explained to them that CS can't change mine since the app is no more pending and that since they are already on the file, they can change the address. She reluctantly agreed.

thanks gcwaiting3.

the only reason i was concerned was because i have not received ANYTHING in the mail - no welcome letter or approval notice or the card('cos of the address issue). and my attorney didn't receive anything either. but i guess, with the address changed now, let's see what happens.

Godawgs..sorry to hear your GC saga still continue on...oh boy....i might land this zone...

I changed my address 2weeks prior to approval(06/20/07) from Attorney address to mine..my wife did just a day before approval... Our AD-07/10/07, Mail date-07/11/07. I spoke to TSC IO couple of time b/w address change and approval data...

Iam not sure where will we receive mine and wife cards???? i will call TSC IO tomorrow and see..where they were posted..

good luck guys..

Godawgs,
Haven't you updated your address after it has been changed? In my case I already did update my address online and also by calling the customer service, but wondering whether still I need to call TSC and verify the address!

Anybody think that I should also call TSC and verify the address on their file in addition to what I did. FYI: I have changed my address about 25 days ago
sara,

i had filed the ar11 form but left the update to the i1485 application to my attorney. but I doubt that the attorney followed through and missed sending the update to uscis. I wasn't too concerned because my FPs were coming to my recent address(wonder why!!!!!) and assumed all is rosy.

in your case, i think you should be fine as you have done online and thru phone. when i moved, there wasn't an online option which seems to directly tie to the receipt number - pretty cool.
