called around and the soonest i can get my medical appt is 7/28 @ 1:45pm
thats in missoula ( 230 miles away ) asked about the cost and they said depends on what if any shots are needed and what if any labs are needed  i thought you had to have the labs done???

I am surprised that a lot of people have such a long wait, We are in CA & were able to get right in. I guess that is because we have a lot of immigrants here and plenty of medical facilities.

Did you try the USCIS civil Surgeon Locator

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/exec/cs/index.asp

If you did try the above link and still do not find any, I would walk -in early or call and find out about any no-shows at a clinic close to you and see if you can get an appt. With some luck maybe there were some no -shows.

I think any labs would be based on results of TB tests ect.
People from certain areas of the world may have different medical screening requirements.
My wife & I got a break on the cost becuase she could not get one of the shots due to her being pregnant so it does vary quite a bit, if your TB test shows reaction then of course additional cost will be needed for X-ray.

Good Luck

Is that the closest to you you could find a Civil Surgeon? I guess it is probably because there aren't too many people in MT :), no offense. Well, you should see if you can find an earlier date as there are other Civil Surgeons in the same city. Good luck!

I think lab test is about your HIV test.
Also, I suggest that you ask your doctor and see if he knows some USCIS civil surgeon (they all know each other). You can eventually use your insurance if he makes it look like a routine check. My cost was zero.

I dont have any insurance so this is gonna be a cash thing..Ithere are only 17 USCIS docs in the whole state of montana and only 5 that are within a 200 mile area from us and july 28th was the soonest :( But I will call a few times a week and see if I can get in sooner ..there are 2 USCIS docs here in great falls (where I live) but they are for military only ..not many here in montana now if I lived in phoenix (where we lived 2 yrs ago I would have had more options)

Insurance won't cover you anyway, just the xray if needed.

Damn, just go walk in... they'll take you.
They DO want your cash after all :)
