Hi, guys,

As existing period of processing the application of canadian citizenship is about 12-15 months after receiving the knowledge letter. I just received the letter(taking five months) and want back to my country till the date for the test. My friends told me this will leads to "no tie to canada" problem, anyone,please,can give me some advices?

Dont trust ur frnd. CIC will give u date for citizenship test about min. after 10 months from recieved acknowledgement letter. So go back ur home country and enjoy urself ..

Depends on where you are living. Toronto and Ontario residents may have to wait a bit longer but thats not the case every where. I live in Vancouver BC and I submitted my application in April 2004. Got a letter of acknowledgement within few weeks and in late July 2004 I was asked to write the test. So my personal experience shows only 3 months wait period between submitting citizenship application and being asked to write the test. So be very careful!
