Hi I was told by everyone that taxes are much higher in Canada. But I checked the Canadian Revenue Website and although the provincial taxes vary substantially (Which is an important thing to remember if you have two job offers from two different provinces) If you look at Ontorio then it is not much differnet than US taxes. (especially if you considered the personal tax credits) I talked to an accountant in Canada and she confirmed the same thing. So what is the big deal about taxes. (I understand if it is Qubec but Ontorio should be comparable to US right!) Am I missing something? People who have paid taxes there please help!!!

PS Also does anyone have a sample list of what we should present to the customs? How detailed should it be? Is there a limitation on the type of goods we can carry and the amount? Also does anyone have an idea of various goods like car, furniture etc as to where they are cheaper? in US or Canada?
