Canadian PR

Hi everyone
i wish to introduce myself as Vijay who have completed my masters in mechncial engineering here in the US.I have four years of work experience as a Design engineer and I am currently working on my OPT in Dallas.I wish to apply for Canadian PR.
I have enough points (>70) too I guess.
I wish to know how long does this process take and how soon can I get my PR.Also i wish to know the job prospects in Canada.With a PR can I do any kind of job till I get one in my field I wish to know.
Please somebody enlighten.

From Buffalo, USA it takes a skilled worker application 20 to 31 months to be finalized.
