Canadian PR with less than 75 points?

Hi,

Since GC from NJ is taking such a long time, I would like to apply for Canadian PR. I am single, dont know french and I have not applied for any jobs in canada. My points tally comes to 72. Is it good enough to apply or should I look for a job there and then apply for PR? If I apply now and then get married lets say next year, can I then use the extra points from my wife's education and still keep my priority date?

Any reply would be highly appreciated. Thanks :)
 
If they don't process your application for one year,you will be all set.Usually it takes one year for them to process. I would say you can make a try & send them your marriage certificates.
 
Even if you don’t get married you still have a pretty good chance of getting approval for PR. Officer who does the evaluation may approve your case if he/she thinks that the point you obtained does not reflect your qualifications.
