I am a Indian citizen working in the US on H1B, my wife is on H4. Both of us have Indian passports. We are planning to visit India in October and will get our H1B/H4 visas stamped at the US Consulate there. I am F1 to H1 & wife is F1 to H4
We had applied for Canadian Permanent residency and it got approved and both our passports are now stamped with a Canadian immigrant visa that expires on December 19, 2007.
My question is:
Will the Canadian immigrant visa that is stamped on our passport create any difficulties for the US H1B/H4 visa stamping at the US Consulate in India. I mean is there any chance that the visa officer could deny us US H1B visa saying we should go to Canada to get the H1B stamped as we have got Canadian PR.
Thanks
