Right now I am working in USA and have Canadian PR .I have valid H1B petition until Sept'2007 but not valid H1B visa in passport.I am planning to Canada and while coming back would the stamping required if i need to re-enter into USA?
If you return back from canada within 30 days then you don't require visa stamping. I did that last year in march and had no problem returning after 4 days (after getting canadian PR). It is called auto revalidation law. Verify with the border immigration to see if it is still valid. You can get the phone number for the immigratio at the border you plan to cross from the internet.
Last time I used automatic revalidation was thanksgiving 2005. I am prety sure that you don't need visa stamping to go back to the US. Just be prepared bring letter from your current employer in case they need proof that you are currently working for some US company.
