Hi there ,
As per the CIC a canadian PR can work outside of Canada say US (with out physically present in Canada) and still takes credit for those days staying away from canada (when applying for citizenship) or( re entering canada) provided he /she is employed by a canadian frim and was consulted out side on Business needs . How does that work ?

Do any one has any kind of this experience ? Any thoughts ?

*** IF you are employed wth Company incorporated in Canada and they send you out of Canada for the job or on a contract job in US or UK or other country or to the Canadian branch office in other US,and you are paying the Canadian tax,
that is what I read.
If you just try to open your Company and be Consultant of that Company in Canada you get few benefits, but I do not think that your own small company that has no buisness in Canada on going
will qualify for the RESIDENCY benifits.

Better is to be employed in US through a Canadian company, many have branch offices in US.

I hope others will contribute.
