Hello, I wanted to know if having a canadian PR would speed up the US green card processing time or does it benefit in any other way. (India being a common wealth country)

Its not aprob. I applied canada PR in Dec '2001 then US GC(I-140) in July'2002 and I-485 in Oct'02.
Now I got Canada PR status is showing Decision made and US GC got approved and passport stamped.
don't worry for safe side you can apply canada PR also.
