Canadian Police Certificate: takes more than 150 days

It is now official from rcmp.gc.ca! It takes now more than 150 days to get Canadian Police Clearance Certifcate. It used to take 4-6 weeks, then 90 days, now even longer...

Most likely because of more people opting for CP?

I submitted application two months ago, still get nothing now...

Wow 150 days (5 months)!! Thats long!

This means that ideally one who requires a canadian pcc and who plans to go thru a canadian consulate should ideally apply for the PCC about 1.5-2 months prior to I-140 approval so that PCC is ready when one is ready to mail P3 since PCC copy is required for those going thru canadian consulates. Else delay in getting PCC in time mail delay mailing P3 to NVC and may directly impact cp interview date.

Please keep us posted whenever there is new police clearance certificate received from RCMP Canada. Let us know how much time it has taken between app submit and done date.
