I moved to the US (Washington) on TN status last year with my car (2010 VW). I got a Washington license but I didn't import the car. (A border agent even asked what the deal was with the car once, I told them that I live in the US on TN status and hadn't imported it as the status is only temporary. They nodded and let me through without issue.) My Canadian insurance expired a few months ago and my car has just been parked since the pandemic started.
Can I insure my Canadian (BC) car in Washington without importing my car to the US?
