Canadian immigration

Hi all,

Can someone tell me about this situation. A friend of mine migrated to Canada and had his wife with him as a dependent. He continued his job in US (as the contract was extended) after landing in Canada. His wife stayed in Canada as she got a job there. Now he might loose his \'landed\' status and will have to try for RR. Will this have a bearing on his wife\'s status?
