How long is it taking to get Canadian Green Card from Buffalo?

Is it going to be any faster since the new law came into effect in May 2002? I heard CIC is still processing cases from April and May of last year and nothing has improved.

How long to expect to get the receipt and the approval notice?
 
The processing under the new law is very fast. Some delays due to the backlog

Application that are being launched in 2003 or beyond will be much quicker then under the old law.

Just wait and see for your self.
 
It is taking too long just to clear the backlog. Everyone has been saying it would be faster when the processing is started under new law, but when would it be?

Have you received the receipt letter from Buffalo within 20 days of your application? When did you apply? How many weeks does it say on your letter that it would take to make a decision?
