I am on H4 and living in USA with my kids on H4, have to go to Canada next month for oath for self and kids for Canadian citizenship (moved to US after living for 1095 days).
My concern is I have H4 and valid I 94 in my Indian Passport, how do I enter back into USA? I will be Canadian citizen on that day though would have applied for Canadian Passports also but that will come after 10 days of applying, and I have to return back same day after oath ceremony.

So will it be Ok if I travel back on Indian Passport along with Canadian Citizenship Card and get my Canadian Passports in Mail after 10 Days on a Canadian Address.

Re. Canadian Citizenship and I 94 Concern.

As far as I know you loose your indian citizenship when you become canadian. So you should not attemp to re-enter the USA with your Indian passport cause you will be presenting yourself with a citizenshi^you dont have anymore. The H4 status (being a candian you need a status not a visa with the status written in your I-94 that is fine) is independent from the citizenship you have, it belongs to the person, so I believe presenting your canadian passport and stapling your H2 I-94 in it you should be fine. You should consult a lawyer before anything cause I am not one I just read forums :p .

Good luck,

Carmen
