Canadian citizens visiting US

Hi,

My friend who is a Canadian citizen like to visit the US, and possibly stay here as long as she could. She wants to come here but not study nor work. What kind of paperwork does she need and how long can she stay here each time, thanks!!!

About 6 months, but remember don't let the US officer feel that she won't go back to Canada. They have the right to refuse anyone enter US if they feel he/she want to "move" there without any valid immigration visa. Please don't bring too much "living" stuff to US in case they check her luggage. Also, they will ask her how long she'll stay in US and I suggest to say no more than 2 weeks unless she has other good excuse need to stay longer. Mostly, they won't put the date limit on the passport.

Good luck.

Thanks, will she need a visa if she's canadian citizen? will she get stamp on her passport? what if she stay longer than 6 months, will she become illegal? Is there a web site to check for the required information, thanks again.

No, Canadian Citizens do not require a visa to enter US.

Depending on her POE she might or might not get a stamp.

Technically speaking yes!
