Canadian Citizen With Green Card

hope somebody can give me info. i am a Canadian citizen and recently got my US visa thru family petition after 10 yrs waiting. i am not ready to settle permanently in the US at this time since after getting my green card, i will be marrying my fiance from Asia and sponsor her to come to Canada instead of US(faster way). I will be coming back to Canada to wait for her and once shes settled, that is the time i will go the US to be a permanent resident.
my question is;
i do not wish to abandon my green card status while waiting for her thus i am planning to reenter the US every 6-8 months, stay there for 2 weeks and come back to Canada. will i have problems with US immigration if i do this?
Should i apply for a REENTRY PERMIT even if i reenter the US every 6-8 months?
than you

I would suggest to apply for re-entry permit. If you will do too much to and fro, they may doubt you since Permenent Resident Card is to reside in here permenently.

I hope you know that as a permanent resident (and not a citizen) of the US once you file your form I-130 for your wife she will be subject to a quota, and hence will have to wait for about 4-5 years to get the immigrant visa number.
During this time she won't be able to cross the US border (since she is an intended immigrant) and will have to remain in Canada, so, you won't be able to reunite for quite some time.
