Hi, Need some expert opinion on the following:
1) I am a Canadian Citizen, working in USA on H1 (Indian by birth)
2) H1 stamping on my Indian passport expired several years ago
3) Have I-797 (with I-94 attached) valid till the end of 2007.
4) Now I need to travel to India (in few weeks) to stay there for 2 weeks
5) I have an OCI
The questions are -
1) Can I travel from USA-India and fly back from India-USA directly (with Canadian Passport & I-797 (with I-94 attached to it))? Has anyone used this route before?
2) I know, I can cross into USA with Canadian Passport & I-797 (with I-94). Should I fly from Toronto-India and get back from India-Toronto and travel by road to USA ?
Please suggest the possibilities, as I cannot go for H1 visa stamping at this time (I didn't know for sure, how it's going to workout without a H1 visa stamp on the passport). Thanks for all the suggestions.
