Canadian Citizen applying for GC

A Canadian Citizen came to the USA driving and did not receive a stamp on her passport at entry or an I-94 or anything. She said the immigration officer just looked at her passport and let her in without recording anything. Now she married a US citizen who wants to apply for her adjustment of status. How can she do that without proof that she entered? What should she do?

Actually, even though there is no stamp (which are almost never put when you cross by land and even rarely for Canadians -- it is the same for US citizens entering Canada), but while each passport is run through a reader that downloads all the details in the passport. In other words, DHS has an entry into their database of her arrival, so she has to merely work with this understanding and file the paperwork. There is no need to attach an I-94 or copy of stamped passport page, simply indicating the date and name of border checkpoint.

This is a common situation with Canadians, and USCIS will understand the lack of I-94 and passport stamp. She should send a copy of the identifying pages of her Canadian passport, and write the place and date of entry on the I-485, and she'll be OK.
