Canada-USA visa Issue.

Hi Everyone,
I am in H1B living in California. We got approved for Canadian immigration and got the passport stamped also to cross the border. I am some questions.

I am a citizen of Bangladesh. I have been in USA for 7 years now. This is my second term of H1B and I have not gone out of USA since 2001 and do not have the H1B visa seal in the passport though I have the H1B approval.

So my question is can I go ahead and cross the border and come back in 3/4 days without been asked about my H1B visa stamp on the passport. In other word I want to know if anyone from Bangladesh or Pakistan recently went and came back within 30 days without any visa.

We like to go to Vancouver soon. Since I am working in USA now I want to see if I can get the USA GC also. Canada was my backup plan but it happened before my us GC so we have to take some action now.

Can anyone please let us know if they are stopping people from that region for visa stamp? I don't think Canadian US consulate gives H1B visa anymore for those countries. The problem is this is new H1B and for new H1B someone have to apply form their own countries. Is that true?

One of my friend from Pakistan went to canada and came back using 30 day validation rule without any problem. I am also planning to go to canada using 30 day validation rule and my nationality is Pakistan.
 
What is the port of entry?

What is the port of entry your friend and eventually you are going to use? Toronto or Vancouver. Was he on H1B in USA?

Returning from Canada to US as an Iranian

I've been in US on H-1B visa for almost 6 years as an Iranian and recently has got my Permanent Residency of Canada approved as a backup!
Now I have to go to Canada in order to get my paperwork done, I'm just wondering how long do I have to stay in Canada till I get my US Visa stamped on my passport (as far as background check concern)?
Would it be possible to apply for Background check in US before I go Canada?

I think as far as people are saying if you go and come back in 30 days u don't need any US Visa stamp ( the 30 days AVR rule). Not sure though how true it is now. Background check only apply if you are trying to get new visa stamp from US embassy. This will for sure trigger background check which takes from 2 to 6 weeks. Nope you cannot apply background checking in US.

As per other users who went to canada they are saying to use Land Border. I think u can go and come back esily if you have the H1B approve letter. Good luck. Let me know how it went.
