Hello All,
I am an Indian citizen who will be transiting through Canada on my way back to USA from Europe in May.
I have already applied for transit visa via USPS Express Mail at Seattle consulate along with an Express Mail envelope for return mail. My application reached them 2 weeks back and I have not heard back from them yet. I have been seeing a few forums where people have mentioned delays at Seattle consulate, although their official website lists average processing time as 14 days.
Could someone help me with the following:
1. Are you aware of any delays in processing at Seattle consulate in recent times?
2. Although I applied via mail, can I go in person to collect my passport and other documents?
3. Are transit visas in any way processed faster then visit visas?
Thanks!
