canada PR and US PR

Does canada give/allow PR to the US green card holder (recently received) ? Can a person keep both PR at the same time, or he has to give up one ?

One has to be a permanent resident of the country to keep PR status. Every country has different residency thresholds in order to prove permanency. Eventually you will have give one up since you cannot be a resident of 2 places at the same time.
