i need to get a visa stamp for h1b in either of the above consulate soon. my status is b2-f1-h1b.
need some advice on which one is prefered over the other.
do the consular officers focus on the previous 1-20, ie. original? the applicant's intention reflected in the changing status?
how long does it take to process from making appointment to issuing a visa? are they gonna conduct background check?
Recent experiences ( in 2003) would be appreciated.
