I am in the US currently on a H1B status. I have recently got my Canadian PR and will be landing in Canada with my family next week. We will come back to the US after about a week.
My H1 visa and my family\'s H4 visa stamping on the passport has expired. But I do have a new I 797 approval notice and new valid I 94 until Sept 2003.
My question is :
1. While entering the US back from Canada, will my expired visa stamping cause a problem ? I do have a new valid I 797 and I-94.
2. I have read on various forums that it makes sense to not submit the I-94 when going to Canada. But isn\'t it a rule that one has to compulsorily submit the I-94 when leaving the US ?
