canada gc application conflicts with temporary canada visa?

Hi, could anyone answer my question: I'm planning to file canada immigration. It's going to take about 1 yr. If during this period, I'd like to travle to canada. Should I check the box of "have you ever filed immi app." on temp. visa application? Will I get temp visa after apply for immi. to canada?

There will not be any problem if you apply for visitor visa to canada while your immigrant application is under process.When you apply for visitor visa tell them the truth.

** 99% you will be refused Visitor Visa after you file your application for Canada immigration, because the Visa officer thinks that you may not return from Canada and you have shown Immigration INTENT
But according to Canada immigration law you have DUAL INTENT and can apply for Visitor Visa even after filing your PR application, Chances are very less that you will get Visitor Visa after filling as PR

What you should do is try to apply Visitor Visa before your Immigration Petition, If the Visitor Visa is granted and you do not visit or visit Canada, it will prove your intent that you did not Visit Canada after getting Visitor Visa or If you visit Canada on Visitor Visa and then came back, It will prove to Visa officer that you had Visa and Visited and Came back or never went to Canada even you had the visa. This is the best option to get Visitor Visa after you file for Immigration Application.

My parents in law are visiting USA for six months. They have multiple entry to enter as visitor to USA.

My brother-in-law who is a canadian immigrant (PR) sponsored PR for my parents-in-law one year back and they have completed medical examinations in India before they come to USA.

Now, my parents-in-law wants to visit Canada (as a visitor) to see my brother-in-law. If we apply for canadian visa while the PR is in progress,

a) will it affect their PR process in Canada
b) Will they get visitor visa in NY canadian consulate? What are the chances for them to get the visa granted.

They have all the return ticket etc to go back to India. Will it be sufficient to prove that they indeed intend to go back to India.

Did anybody attempted earlier and succeeded in getting the visa.?
 
For x admin:
I know the 3 cases that were denied for Visitor visa by NYC conulate they applied when PR application was pending, they had jobs in US ,good bank balance and recent pay stubs

2 case from Wahington DC same as above were denied Visitor visa.
One person who got the landing paper and he wanted to visit Canada before landing was granted Visitor Visa by NYC Canadian consulate.

***It is up to Visa officer, nobody can give you a gurantee they will be given Visitor visa. they have to take a chance
