Well, you should NOT loose hope....yet, its still some distance to go.
All depend on the 'demand' so far and the 'success' rate, which only the DoS ppl know.
It looks to me the demand this year is high, especially for AS, so we see a slow moving. Compare that to the unusually fast move last year.

And if you look back...03, 04 and 05 none except OC has become current even in Sept. !! (and the total number of visas issued those years were >48.5k)

So, even if AS do not become C, it should move at least by about 4k slots in next 2 months. (but I really think it will be C in Sept.)

So keep your hopes alive and I wish you Good Luck!

I guess asia will be current in september,, but in august it will jump to 30000 at least...
