My wife is now on H4 and she will be getting H1B with start date Oct 1st.
Can she go to mexico for her H1B visa stamp before Oct 1st(after she gets H1B approval from USCIS), let's say in August? If so, can she enter USA with a valid H4 extention and H1B visa stamp in August?
The reason i am asking is, since the start date would be Oct 1 and visa stamping is way before Oct 1st. I know that she cannot work, but can she enter since her H4 at the time entry would be valid.
If this is possible, what would be the I-94? Would it be based on H4 or H1B?
