Can you go in person to get your OCI sticker on your passport?

This forum is a wonderful resource.

Most on this forum seem to mail in their US & old-Indian passport. Is it possible to go in person and have the stamp affixed? I'm in the New York area, so it is very convenient for me to do this in person.

Two things: 1. Rather than starting a new thread, this question should have been posted in the "OCI - New York Tracker" thread. 2. A quick search on NY consulate web site would have given you the answer you are seeking (which is YES). See http://indiacgny.org/php/showContent.php?linkid=177&partid=100&sub=sub6
