Can you begin school while the f-1 transfer application is pending?

dear all:

I have an urgent situation here. Just got admission letter to May 06 program in school, only one month left. I am currently h1b. if i submit the transfer status package, is it ok for me to enroll in the school before receive the approval letter? how long it will take to get approval in PA,NJ NY states. does anyone has similar experience?

check with the international students' office where you've got admission. please share info with others as well. i know some people in kinda similar situation. would be useful info.
