Both myself and my wife got our immigrant visa through consular processing recently. (employment based category - I was on H1 and wife was on H4)

-I wanted to know if I can go to the US just by myself now; and then my wife can join me later on (in a couple of months).
-Has anybody done this?
-If yes, What documents should I keep back for my wife to carry with her?
-Do I need to prove my employment and other things again when my wife comes?
-Any risks with this approach?

Please let me know

Wife can follow later

I know my friend who has done this. the only thing she\'ll need is the packet she received from Consular offic, her passport and X-ray. Usually X-ray is not asked for but it\'s still advisable to carry it.

not sure if it is too late but

Yes. Only criteria is that the primary (that is you I assume) has to enter at the same or before any secondaries (dependents).

-Has anybody done this?
Yes. I have

-If yes, What documents should I keep back for my wife to carry with her?
She\'ll need only her approval packet and passport

-Do I need to prove my employment and other things again when my wife comes?
No. Infact, you typically don\'t have to prove it for yourself too.

-Any risks with this approach?
No additional risk
