EAD will allow you to work concurrently for one, two or even more employers at the same time. There are no restrictions on the type of the second job, e.g. literally, you can wash cars or deliver pizza.
If you are now on H-1B or similar visa (e.g. L-1), however, then you would have to switch from it to EAD.
