Can we reschedule 2nd Interview for Citizenship?

Hello

case: parents had 1st interview. have to return for a 2nd interview. The 2nd interview just got scheduled (for next year).

They are having to travel out of the country. Can we reschedule the interview?
(letter unlike earlier ones doesnt have an explicit mention of how to reschedule)

My mother was asked to come back for 2nd interview as well. She was intending to go earlier but never did. So try and see if you can go earlier than scheduled.
 
I recommend personally just to put the travel plans aside and show up for second Interview. It is so hard to get a new scheduled Interview and if your Parents want their Citizenship as soon as possible I would go

Thanks! I would like it to be this way but their travel is such that it can only be delayed very slightly. Will look into trying to schedule it earlier..

Guess one of those situations where I might have to look into legal help to justify need to travel :rolleyes:
 
Of course you can reschedule - just write to the DO with a copy of the interview letter and make your request - however the real question is whether you want to put up with unknown delays. Sounds like things have dragged on a long time already, why make it longer just for the sake of not spoiling travel plans? Of course, if someone died then that is a good reason. Going on vacation would not be so clever.
 
Boatbod,, thanks for the info.. are there any templates out there to request a reschedule of the interview?
