can we re-new EAD in Philly instead of VSC ?

I know I should mail EAD renewal to VSC, but, can one just walk in to the Philly office and re-new ? anybody done that ?

Called VSC today and found out my case was 'staged' only (meaning, it is ready to be assigned to an officer), the officer suggested I renew EAD to be safe...

I also want to renew my EAD in Philly. But my lawyer told me that they no longer do EAD renew in Philly. However, the INS web site doesn't say this. I will go to their office to find it out tomorrow.
 
my lawer told em you can apply your EAD at Philly office

but it'll take longer than VSC. I appied my EAD through VSC on 8/1, and got card on 8/15. Only 2 weeks. I am not sure this policy has been changed or not.

I suggest you do it through VSC.

EAD processing only at VSC

I had the same question a few months ago.. so before sending to VSC I walked into Philly office and after waiting for 4 hrs and passed around different officers they denied to accept the application and asked me to apply at VSC.
The only applications that they accept are the ones that have applied for 485 at Philly office.
But on a positive note VSC processed my application in 3 weeks!

I went to the office during the lunch break, unfortunately, the office hour is from 7:30AM to 11:00AM today. I am going to follow kia and RaviPC's suggestion and do it through VSC.
