Can we make changes to Approved LC??

Hello All,

My 140 was denied on 14th April stating that my LC says position requires MS or BS+2yrs. They denied because this position does not require a MS(advanced degree). My LC was filed in Dec 2004 and approved in Mar 2007 and I-140 filed in July 2007.
What are my options now to not loose the EB2 Priority Date? I have upto 14th May to file an appeal. Can the approved LC be changed to reflect the new criteria?

A MS is not equal to a BS + 2 yrs. A MS is equal to a BS plus 5 years; that is likely the reason they would deny it, since the position requirements are not equal.
