Can we have PO Box as mailing address?

Page 2 of Form N-400 (Rev. 10/26/05) says:

Part 4A. Home Address - Street Number and Name (Do not write a P. O. Box in this space)


Part 4B. Mailing Address - Street Number and Name (If different from home address)

Opinions appreciated.

You can have a PO box as a mailing address, but you still have to provide a physical address. i.e., your place of residence or someone who you would potentially stay with. They want to know that you are located in the area that office serves.

When I changed my address on 485 application, after taking my new address, the lady on the phone asked if I have a mailing address and I gave the PO Box # I had. All my USCIS 485 related mail comes to the PO Box now.

Yes. All my correpondence was done using a P.O Box but I did provide my physical address.

guys appreciate ur replies..if only i knew about this initially.iwas always against giving my home adress for the whole process..
