can we have miltiple h1's

can one have mutiple h1's.
One of my friend has H1 with company1
company2 said they will search job for him and filed h1, but couldn't file job.
now other company 3 is saying that they will do his h1 and place him. Is it good to go with company 3.

Yes, multiple H1's are possible, but only 1 can be for a full time position (and at least one should be a full time position). You should let the lawyer who is filing your H1 papers know about your other H1s. Alternatively you can transfer H1 from one company to another...
